“A week in paradise”

The overall holiday was just brilliant, the service from the owners was perfect the Gite was beautiful and clean, cool and exactly what we wanted. The pool was beautiful and so needed as the weather was warm. a nice feature was the honesty bar which catered for all the essentials (including my need for chocolate !!!!!) We had a fantastic hamper and the owners were always there to help suggesting nice places to visit including excellent restaurants. the nearby Auberge is a must 13 Euros for a gorgeous five course meal. Even here the owners booked it for us.
the surrounding area was some of the most beautiful that we have encountered in France, the Dordogne region is a must for its stunning views, food and lovely towns.
We couldn't fault our stay and will be making every effort to get back there next year. with our only regret, that we didn't book for longer.

“Magical place with beautiful interiors. Best place in the Bergerac region”

We stayed in Monet and were very impressed by the standards of the accommodation. A wonderful welcome hamper, which was filled with good quality provisions. The gites are spacious and furnished with a stylish simplicity which was perfect. The Domaine is immaculately kept and has lanterns and fairy lights in the trees at night. Sue and John were perfect hosts and very kind. Our twins had a birthday and we came home that night to balloons, cards and a gift for them. The pool was very clean and the play barn was fully equipped. It is a magical place and we would love to return there. It is very close to many interesting towns; Sue and John are most helpful in giving suggestions about when the night markets are on and which local restaurants we may like. All in all a brilliant holiday. Thank you

“Lovely British owned BnB. They also have some gites (holiday homes) to rent. Ideal for families with children.

We were looking for a quiet place to spend a couple of nights in the Dordogne region.
This place is ideal in terms of location, of interior design and decoration as well as equipment (very nice heated pool, stone coal BBQ, pool billiard table and plenty of games for kids).
The British owners are very friendly and continental breakfast is top notch with, among others, different fresh fruit every day.
There is also a private parking.
In terms of location, there are good restaurants at about a 10 minute drive.
If you drive a bit longer, you may visit Bergerac towards the West and Sarlat on the East side.
I warmly recommend this place.

“A wonderful place”

My family have stayed at Domaine des Blanches Colombes many times over the last few years and it's just great. Sue and John are so welcoming and the gites are prettily decorated and well equipped for a family holiday. The kids are happy with the lovely pool and playbarn - both are fenced and secure. The location is superb - a very quiet hamlet but still close to lots of villages and towns with markets and fetes in summer. Lovely countryside location. The gites have wi-fi and British tv channels / DVDs if you need them. I'd recommend having a car for trips out. Sue and John have good recommendations for local events too. Lots to see and do in the local area. We'll be visiting again soon.

“Stunning Gite Holiday”

Our third stay at Domaine des Blanches Colombes and the best yet! After recently expanding our family, we stayed in Renoir which was spacious, immaculate, well appointed and ideal for the 5 of us. The pool was once more a magnificent focus for the kids and the playbarn and walnut orchard allowed us to spend hours relaxing and having fun. John and Sue were magnificent hosts and even provided a bug hunting kit for our intrepid kids to view the local butterfly and grasshopper community at close quarters. None were harmed!

Plenty to see and do locally and visits to Domme and the night markets were particular highlights. We couldn't have had a happier holiday and this really is a superb base with quality accomodation and hosts who really care for your holiday experience.

And a final few words from Isabel ...
